Thank you to all the corporate sponsors for our walk! We appreciate their generosity to our community. Their funds go a long way to helping students and staff throughout the school year.
Thank you to everyone who donated money to our Rock the Walk campaign! We crushed our goal of $16,500 by raising $18,120.38!!! Congratulations to Mrs. Miller's class for having the highest participation and Mrs. Kemppainen's class for raising the most money. A special congratulations goes out to all of the second grade classes for an incredible showing in both participation and money raised. All of these classes will receive a special pizza party!
Though we couldn't walk to the fire station or have parents attend the walk this year, the kids still had a blast! They enjoyed a walk up and down the hill through the course complete with a screaming tunnel, limbo, and almost two hundred signs of encouragement from families. We were also able to add two additional stations to the walk this year! Hillary Vermilye, an Ada parent, taught all the classes a fun dance routine. Friction Grand Rapids donated their time and resources to create an intense obstacle course for the kids to race through. Check out all the pictures from this awesome event below! Parents,
We are thrilled that you have selected Ada Elementary as a place to raise and educate your child(ren). On behalf of the PTO, we welcome you and your family. The Ada Elementary PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is an organization run purely by volunteer parents. All parents are automatically members of the PTO – there are no applications or dues to pay. Our purpose is to promote the welfare of our students and to enrich their educational environment by supporting school volunteer programs, participating in fundraising activities and by providing a variety of educational and enrichment activities for the students. Through our fundraising efforts we are able to support many initiatives at the school. A few of the things we support are transportation for our field trips, grants and stipends for our teaching staff, cultural arts assemblies and programs, school carnival, and school supplies including technology, books, and various classroom gifts. We love our parents and encourage you to become involved in our PTO. There are many ways to get involved: volunteer in the classroom, become a room parent, attend a general PTO meeting, sign up to help on a committee, chair a committee, and/or become a member of the PTO Board. We wish you all the best and look forward to partnering with you! Jamie Farber President Ada Elementary PTO |
